The mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
- One in nine American adults - more than 26 million people - have kidney disease and most don't know it; at least 26 million more are at risk.
- Anyone with high blood pressure, diabetes or a family history of kidney disease is at risk.
- Over 110,000 people are waiting for organ transplants; 17 people die every day while they wait.
- Of every NKF dollar, 88 cents goes directly to programs and services, exceeding industry standards.
The Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival is a comedy film festival to support the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (NKFI). This two day film festival is coordinated by the family of Steve Pearce, an NKFI supporter and film lover, who passed away from kidney disease. The Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival is a unique fundraising and educational opportunity for the Indianapolis Community.
Filmmaker, Gary Weeks, whose films include Funky Pickles, 29 Reasons to Run, and Clones Gone Wild said about this festival, "there are only a few festivals that are an honor just to be a part of, and Wet Your Pants is one of them"
